Scott is an experienced Non-Executive Director and CEO with more than 35 years of global business expertise across insurance, healthcare, and financial services.

He currently serves as Chair and Independent Non-Executive Director of Evolution Healthcare, CGU Insurance Australia Pty Ltd, and Fidelity Life Assurance Company Limited. Scott is also an Independent Non-Executive Director of ASX-listed Insurance Australia Group (IAG), IAG New Zealand Limited, and Kiwi Group Capital Limited. In addition, he is an External Advisor to global management consulting firm Bain & Company and Founder of Engage Consulting Limited, his management and leadership advisory business.

Scott has a proven record of building high-performing executive teams and leading complex business transformations that deliver enhanced customer outcomes, strengthened trust, and sustainable performance. His international career—spanning both emerging and mature markets—has developed a deep cultural awareness and sensitivity that he brings to all his leadership and governance roles.

From 2013 to 2021, Scott was Chief Executive of the Accident Compensation Corporation (ACC), where he led the most significant business transformation in the organisation’s 50-year history.

Earlier in his career, Scott served as Regional CEO for Central & Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and Africa for Willis (Towers Watson), one of the world’s largest insurance brokers. He also held senior leadership roles including President – Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa.

Prior to that, he held successive CEO and regional leadership positions with Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance (RSA) and Chubb Insurance (and its predecessor companies) across the Middle East, Africa, Japan, Southeast Asia, and Australasia.

Scott is an Associate and Certified Insurance Professional of the Australian and New Zealand Institute of Insurance and Finance, and a Member of the Institute of Directors New Zealand.
